A bit to share

Why didn't any of my friends throw confetti when my plane touched down at the airport!? Haha, not that my mom, sis, and bro did when they came to pick me up. I missed Singapore so much all the while I was overseas, and can't help but gave all 3 of them good hugs after much trudging with the luggages and scanning amongst the crowd for familiar faces. But my, thanks friends for all the welcome messages via Friendster, tagboard, MSN and SMSes.
Shopping. I have learnt to say "How much?" and "Thank you" in Cantonese during my stay there in HongKong. Shopping in Wang Jiao Centre was the craziest as most things are definitely cheaper than Singapore after I did the calculation of currency eventually. There wasn't much high-end shopping as you can definitely do them in Singapore itself. However, I bought an Agnes b. bag over there because I just love bags. It was regrets that we didn't visit the LV store in HongKong as Mercy recounted that it is 3 storey-high! As for the people in HongKong, what I had observed is that they generally speak louder than Singaporeans, but they are definitely friendlier than we are. This could probably be a sweeping statement but it is just my two cents' worth. In addition to my observation, people mostly carry bags from Gucci, LV, Gregory, Agnes b., Porter tokyo, Burberry etc. I have asked a local there, and she explained that it is because HongKongers are generally brand-conscious, and only a minute percentage of them carries imitation goods as most fear scorn and mockery by friends. This explanation is none other from Amelia's HK cousin, Yan Yan, who showed us around during our very last day there. Thank you so much! Hahaha, and I miss cold noodles!
YWith love, Valerie
