Few hours ago that I last seen them. Few years ago that I first saw them. Since then we have witnessed the tremendous growth of each other both philosophically and physically (fatter). Hahaha.

We talk about boys. About love, crushes and breakups. We talk about fashion. About fashion disasters, cheap thrills, and sky-high prices. We talk about people. About ugly incidents, affairs and bitching. We talk about anorexics. About their willpower, weight and liposuction. We talk about Earth. About Jupiter, Mars and women come from Venus. We talk about well-kept secrets. About dirty secrets, new-found secrets and well-fabricated secrets. Anything under the Sun.
And we went somewhere near Esplanade to watch fireworks! The place was simply filled with throngs of patriots, or maybe just fireworks-goers. I belong to the latter. It was a mind-blowing 10-minutes long display; Sparks fell down the sky like pixiedust, almost like a dream I would say. The first time to come across so many ( I really mean so many) people with their digicams/cells high in the air snapping away, trying to retain an instant soft copy of what they have seen. The short-lived display's grandeur...so much so even the enticing moon lost its glamour.
To jubilate this 5th year of friendship (8th August 2001) of ours, we got ourselves a Blackforest from Crystal Jade Bakery! We sat somewhere near the Esplanade facing the sea with the already-lit cake. Well, the strangers all around us thought we're having a birthday celebration and sang us birthday song in 2 languages. Well....thank you. Hahaha.
I have always enjoyed the birthday songs people serenade me in. I take pleasure in singing birthday songs to others as well. Life is a celebration, right!? That's why I never spend too much of a time sorrowing over melancholic matters, not even the death of my Grandpa. I just miss him so. So so much.
