SOMEDAY I WILL BE AN OUTSTANDING BUSINESSWOMAN. :)

---

It was a rather chatter-filled lunch had with Rita, Mercy, Pepsi, Amelia and KEN KWAN at Jack's Place (near Heeren). Mr. Ken is a duitiful PTN cum Statistics module lecturer & tutor. I had Ribeye anyway. It was hm........... tender, nice, succulent and satisfying. The potato was well-cooked, topped with salad sauce, green onions and fried bacon bits. Lovely. Grins. :) And milk tea. And dessert. And seafood soup. And garlic bread. And - just a jest, no more upcoming food. Haha.

Mr. Ken foot the bill and we left that underground.

It is time for separate ways! Mr. Ken gotta go do some mailing, cutting of his hair and gym workouts! We then left for Food Republic's Ice Shop.

I think homosexuality is a fascinating topic to touch on. DO NOT say I have little exposure. Let me relate, that time I was walking along the bustling streets of Orchard. And this is the climate (that's quick), I swept a glance over and the corner of my eye caught this man. "Quite handsome," I thought to myself. But wait! How come he is holding hands with another guy!?

Then you see Valerie at then reeling from the shock. I kept letting out my 'oh my god's.

Damn it. From young I watched TV dramas with only men and women kissing, certainly not men with men. Mother Nature is so intriguing. To come up with these instincts.

It took me a while to accept, retain and absorb this fact. I accepted lesbians long ago. I used to think gays are just some cold jokes. We have heard ample tales about chavinism, big guys' ego and head of the family. By the way, I didn't tell you all these to show my ignorance hahahaha.

I used to despise people who put "No gays ahh.." in the Friendster's "Who I want to meet?" field area. Like COME ON, GROW UP. After that incident, I empathise them.

HOWEVER, I do not discriminate homosexuals. It's the lives that they want to lead. And if it takes time for the entire society and world to be liberal about it, so be it.

Not minding about how the others look at you is actually a feat easier said than done. It takes immense courage and determination. Imagine two men holding hands, strutting along the never-busier streets. It is deemed to invite ostracising stares and glares.

.

So if I see a gay couple on the streets once again, I will probably stop my walking feet, and give you my greatest salute. And shout: "Y'ALL THE MAN!"

YWith love, Valerie
